Team:

Currently the word "team" deserves to be used jokingly. I'm working on my own.
I've got a few people I pester for help, and I've had a few offers for help, but I believe I've lost most of those email addresses.
If you are interested in helping out, and want to be part of the "team", drop me an email!

Libraries:

The most important library now required is SDL. More information about this library can be found on their site.
I am currently using version 1.2.2.
The next library required, along a similar vein, is SDL_Image, which can be found on their site.
I am currently using version 1.2.?.

Environment:

I am coding this on my Debian Linux/GNU box targetting SDL under XFree86 v4.1.x using gcc 2.95.x as my compiler. I intend the code to be ANSI-C++ and portable and everything. But I cannot guarantee it, as I currently only have access to gcc. Except that ANSI-C++ doesn't quite seem to support #define foo( bar... ) macros :(

SDL:

Yes. the code has been ported to SDL. Hopefully I will release a snapshot of this someday soon. but for now it is in the CVS tree. Things that need attention now:

Keyboard support / Mouse support is still broken, but not as much
Outputting text to the graphics window don't work
All the other little things that broke
Images should be converted to 32bpp
Alpha blending

ToDo:

Pretty much everything.
Some ideas for things that should be done:

Fix everything that broke under SDL
Implement zoom and work out math for the graphics of placing track and train
Document the code (more)
Get code compiling on other platforms
Add timers and start moving trains automatically
Investigate different colour depths
